We work across different sectors that deliver services, develop products and shape places and systems, all of which can impact different communities. This includes public services, private companies, charities and the VCSE sector, cultural heritage, design, the built environment and community-led initiatives.
Organisations we’ve supported include, but are not limited to:
NHS England, NHS Scotland, NHS Lothian, West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, Thrive by Design, The Scottish Government, National Trust for Scotland, Ellisland Museum and Farm, UNICEF, Police Scotland, University of Oxford, Nuffield Trust, KC Manufacturing and SafeLives.
Below are some examples of how we’ve worked with organisations, communities and partners to embed access, inclusion and equity.
Creative engagement and participatory research
Access audits and inclusive design
Service design
Research, analysis and sense-making
Commissioned by the University of Oxford and the Nuffield Trust through Thrive by Design, we contributed to a UK-wide study on making remote consultations a standard part of primary care.
Our work focused on embedding participatory and design thinking methods, and addressing digital inclusion, to explore how remote care can be safe, inclusive and effective for different communities. This was part of a wider programme on the benefits and challenges of remote care, with our input delivered at key stages over 2022 - 23.

As part of work with Thrive by Design, co-designed a digital inclusion strategy with people with lived experience, local communities and VCSE organisations. Identified access barriers and priorities for supporting digital inclusion when accessing and engaging with health and social care services.

Co-designed and developed access and inclusion recommendations for a theatre-in-education programme and heritage site visit. Considered sensory access, assistive technology, communication design and inclusive delivery at both service and policy levels.
Created practical tools, staff guidance and training activities to support embedding access and inclusion across the learning programme.
Worked as a design researcher and creative facilitator on projects exploring the role of green spaces in public health, including for Maggie’s Centres.
Co-designed CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) unit interiors with children and young people with lived experience, in partnership with National Museums Scotland.
